He will once again play with quarterback Tom Brady, who recently signed with Tampa Bay.

"Rob Gronkowski is one of the best tight ends in NFL history and he plays with the passion and desire that sets him apart," said Jason Lecht, general manager of the Buccaneers. "Rob has played his entire career with Tom Brady and his accomplishments speak for themselves."
The Bookers sent a fourth-round pick (1939 overall) in the 2020 NFL Draft and replaced Gronkowski with a seventh-round pick in 2020 (No. 241 overall).

Agent Drew Rosenhaus told CNN: "Physically, Robb has agreed to play for Tampa this season. At that point, he will honor his current contract."

The pair were teammates in three Super Bowl champions in the 2014, 2016 and 2018 seasons, although Gronkowski missed the 2016 Super Bowl due to injury.

Speaking at ESPN's SportsCenter Tuesday night, Rosenhouse said the debate began shortly after Birdy went to Tampa. Gronkowski and the agent agreed that this would be an interesting situation.

"They love New England. They love the Patriots organization, coach (Bill) Belchick, Kraft, his teammates who are still there. He had an amazing run in New England. Now for him It was time to continue his career with Tom Brady. "In Florida with Tampa," Rosenhouse said. "It was something cool and exciting and challenging for him. She is fine and looking forward to playing with Tom again. "

Gronkowski last played during the 2018 NFL season, where he finished in 13 regular season games with 682 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
His last game as a member of the Patriots was in the Super Bowl LIII where the New England Patriots defeated the Los Angeles Rams 13-3.
Brady and Granowski "developed chemistry on and off the field, which is essential to success," said Licht, general manager of Tampa Bay. "Rob combines elite level skills as both a receiver and a blocker, but what makes him really special is that he is a proven winner who brings the championship mindset and work ethic."
